General Information

• Union meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. and will be rotated between areas.

• Massena meetings will be held at our Main Office or The Italian American Club, 16 Beach St.,

• Watertown meetings will be held at 1 Paddock Arcade Suite 15,  

• Plattsburgh meetings will be held at The Plattsburgh Public Library; unless otherwise notified of a change prior to meeting.

• Initiation Fee is $250.00 for Apprentices and Journeyman initiations are $500.00. Dues are $40.00 per month plus working dues deduction of 8% of gross hourly wages paid.

• Payment of dues can be made at any of these offices, through the mail, or credit card by phone and are due at the beginning of each month. Make checks payable to Laborers’ Local 1822 and mail to the above address. Contact our office for Credit Card payments.

• Dues Credits: 900-1200 (3 months), 1201-1500 (6 months), and 1501+ (12 months). Any questions please contact us.  Please remember that in order for the credits to count - they must be worked within our jurisdiction.

• Dues cannot be in arrears more than 2 months.

• Always notify the union hall when hired or laid off from work to be placed on our out-of-work list. A referral application and skills assessment form must be on file at the office to be dispatched to work by the union hall.

• New members should coordinate with the union hall for union orientation and swearing in of the union oath within the first 3 months of initiation.
